Learn to mush, no snow required!

2 hr
100 US dollars
River Road

Service Description

Our basic kennel tour is an educational experience where you will learn about Alaskan Huskies and the things that Alaskan Huskies love to do, a brief history of dogsledding, what it's like to be a musher, what it's like to own a kennel of these awesome canine athletes. You will then have the opportunity to experience harnessing and hooking up dogs to a gang line. When there is no snow, you can help us hook up 16 sled dogs in front of a side-by-side and see how we train and physically condition sled dogs when there is no snow. During the fall, we offer ten mile dog powered color tours where you can enjoy the beautiful changing colors of the fall landscape in the UP. When there is snow, get ready to take a ride with me or one of our guides on a sled or be coached on how to drive your own sled dog team. You can take your partner or children for a safe, supervised ride. Our standard run at the end of the tour is 3 miles however, you can opt for a longer 10 mile run.
