Otter River Sled Dogs runs on generous donations by the public and sponsorships. You can help contribute by donating a bag of food or sponsoring a dog and it's care costs. Q: "Why should I donate?"
A: Donations are sincerely appreciated and it helps us to get these dogs the care they need. Circumstances such as emergency vet visits are unwarranted and can get pricey, or the dogs may even need replacement housing on occasion. Your donations help us give our teams the best care and help us expand by participating in races.
Q: "Can I drop off a bag of food?"
A: Our dogs are on strict diets and we ask that if you wish to donate food, to donate money through our Paypal for a bag of food. Buying the wrong food and quick changes in diet are bad for a dog's gut health and can cause sickness.
Q: "What's the difference between donating and sponsoring a dog?"
A: Donating allows you to make whatever contribution you would like to. Sponsoring a dog is a set amount to help contribute to the total care of the dog. Your sponsorship goes towards vet bills, food, housing, bedding, and more for the dog you choose to sponsor.
