What We've Learned
The Mushing Club covers a wide variety of knowledge and skills learned, from dog behavior and basic care, to mushing skill sets and race logistics, creating well-rounded people in the sport of mushing.
Connecting with Dogs
We've learned how to connect with and care for all of the dogs they train and race with, developing bonds with their teams to understand behaviors and team dynamics. Connecting with the dogs is arguably one of the most important skills the club focuses on for the safety and well-being of the animals, and the relationship it creates between them and their musher.

Dog Care
We work to provide the best possible care for all of the dogs they work with; they learn basic vet medicine, dog food quality and portions, and how to care for dogs in harsh winter conditions. Some examples of prominent basic vet medicine are trimming nails, checking for splits and booting dogs, identifying sprains, and being able to identify heat stroke and hypothermia in dogs.
